We also provide long distance transportation anywhere in Florida or out of state. If we cannot provide the needed service, we have a network of medical transportation service providers that can.
A Little About Eagle Transport
I started Eagle Transport in March of 2002. When I opened for business my philosophy was simple, treat everyone like I would want my own family treated, and be timely. Today we still transport you and your loved ones with the same care and concerns as we would our own.
I started in the business working for Hope Transport in Ocala, Florida. Mickey the owner taught me a lot about patient transport and then was instrumental in guiding me through purchasing my first van and getting my business going in “The Villages”. Nearly 12 years later, here we are providing medical transportation services to Marion, Lake, and Sumter County with five transport vans.
Eagle Transport is a more personalized service, paying particular attention to the patient’s care and comfort. We normally transport one patient at a time, and we do not overbook which reduces the time patients are sitting in the Doctors office waiting. You arrive for your appointment on time and we are normally waiting outside to return you to home or the skilled nursing facility.
We provide Non-Emergency transportation by wheelchair and ambulance stretcher to just about any destination you can think of, from the hospital to Walmart. Trips to the doctor, or trips to New York – we have either done it or referred our customers to the right venue to make it happen.
Being referred to by my competitors as the gadget man, I am a believer in making transporting of patients easier and safer through the use of equipment and technology. All the vans are cell phone dispatched, all are equipped with GPS navigation, all have hydraulic stretchers, stair chairs, aluminum folding ramps, slide boards, and several other pieces of equipment that makes life so much easier and safer for both the transport drivers and our passengers. We also utilize other pieces of equipment that are specialized for certain conditions, like the Hover Matt, bariatric stretcher, the Bear (bariatric equalizing abdominal restraint), and several other devices for the safe transport of bariatric patients.
